Nancy, a european crossroads town top

Grand Nancy (Nancy and its suburbs have about 270 000 inhabitants) is one of the two biggest cities of Lorraine. It is only 50 kilometers from Metz.

A town with a prestigious historical past (Nancy was the historical Capital of the Dukes of Lorraine), it is today a very dynamic town and offers a large variety of services : public services, hospitals, banks, shops, cultural visits, etc.

It has a very intense cultural life : theater, jazz, cinema, dancing, intercultural gatherings, festivals...

Nancy is at the heart of Europe (150 km from Luxembourg, 300 km from Brussels 150 km from Strasbourg), not far from Germany (100 km), at the crossroads of communication intersections :

  • a major East/West crossroad from Paris (300 km) via Strasbourg towards the South of Germany and Eastern European countries.
  • a major North/South crossroad that links Nothern European countries to those of the South (via Lyon : 400 km).
